Welcome to the Philadelphia Center Website

Thank you for visiting the Philadelphia Center web site! Established in the spring of 1990, we are a non-profit 501(c)3 community service organization dedicated to providing HIV/AIDS education information, and support to Northwest Louisiana.

Philadelphia Center’s mission is to:

  1. Provide support services for people who have Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) or have contracted the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), the virus that causes AIDS.
  2. Prevent the spread of HIV by educating the public with regard to how HIV is contracted and how its transmission may be avoided.
  3. Improve the quality of life for all people affected by HIV/AIDS regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, political beliefs, financial status or any other non-meritorious basis.

Who We Serve

Philadelphia Center serves all people infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. While the majority of the people we serve are HIV positive, we provide services for people impacted in any way by this disease.

The Roaring Twenties – Sponsorships Available!

Get Ready To Roar Back To The Twenties!

“Can’t repeat the past…Why of course you can!”
The Great Gatsby
Chapter 6

Traditionally known as the last big party of the summer, the Philadelphia Center’s Auction Against AIDS is gearing up to take a trip back in time.   A celebration of the Roaring Twenties will be the theme of the 2010 Auction to be held at the ELDORADO Resort and Casino, who is once again our title sponsor.  The day to mark on your calendar is August 7, 2010.  However, once again, we need your help.  Severe budget cuts on the state and national level have impacted the Philadelphia Center and needless to say it is imperative that we try to restore those funds.   There are several ways in which you or your organization can help our cause.

Sponsorship of our Roaring Twenties Bash is the best way you can assist us in helping others in our community who are living with HIV/AIDS.  In return for your sponsorship, we will provide you with complimentary tickets to the event, acknowledgement in our marketing campaign, as well as being featured in our auction handbook, sponsorship signs and banners the night of the event in the Ballroom of the ELDORADO Casino during the auction.

Sponsorship is available at the following levels:

THE GREAT GATSBY       $1,500 or more

MOB BOSS                        $500-$1,499

Flapper & Zoot Suit          $499 or less

Our top sponsors will be treated to a Pre-Auction Soiree hosted by the Friends of the Philadelphia Center.  Your generous sponsorship checks may be mailed to our office at 2020 Centenary Boulevard, Shreveport, LA, 71104. For inclusion at the soiree, please have your sponsorships in by July 5, 2010.  If you have questions, or would like to schedule a meeting or a tour of our facilities, feel free to contact Brett Malone, Executive Director, at 318.222.6633, ext. 11.

Sincerely,

The 2010 Auction Committee / Board of Directors:
